Michelle Folickman

Education Director

The Sunday School for Jewish Studies Education Director provides the vision for the Sunday School through curriculum design, staffing, and development of school-wide programs throughout the year. The Director also works with parents, teachers, and students to ensure that the students receive a unique, top-notch Jewish education in a flexible, laid back, fun, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where they can thrive as students and as menches (all-around good people). Michelle’s goal is to help students and families make strong connections to their Jewish identity through exploration of Jewish values, customs, and traditions at Sunday School.

Michelle received her BA from Clark University in Psychology with a minor in Education and a concentration in Jewish Studies. Michelle then went on to receive her Masters in the Art of Teaching from Brandeis University’s DeLeT (Day School Leadership through Teaching) fellowship program. Michelle is certified by the state of Massachusetts as an elementary educator as well as an educator of students with moderate disabilities.
She works during the week as the Middle School Coordinator and Lead Teacher at MetroWest Jewish Day School in Framingham where she was recently the recipient of the Dr. Barry Ruthfield Excellence in Teaching Award. Michelle lives in Natick with her husband Mark and their two children.
