For 75 years, The Sunday School for Jewish Studies has provided dynamic and engaging Jewish education to families in Greater Boston.  Our program has flourished thanks to the support and generosity of our families and many other community members.

Judaism is steeped in finding the strength and courage to persevere in the face of adversity.  In the present day, our SSJS community is challenged with navigating our way through the COVID-19 pandemic, and forging the way forward. We believe that our commitment to the students and community will help us mobilize our efforts and continue to thrive.

We recognize that all families have been negatively impacted by the ongoing pandemic. For some, the impacts may include financial hardship, and we have taken this into consideration when planning our tuition rates for next year. Additionally, our ability to hold in-person classes has been placed on hold due to the pandemic, and uncertainty of how and our campus will re-open.

Additional Information

As we adjust our tuition rates and make modifications to our programming, we still need your help to be successful. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to SSJS to support your child’s Jewish education. A generous donation of $100 will help SSJS manage its operating expenses, and continue to succeed.

Now more than ever, we need to summon the same strength and determination that has carried this program through the past 75 years, to lead us into the future. We thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to the opportunity to celebrate and commemorate our 75th year together with you!

We have meticulously labored over our operating expenses, the options available for distance learning, and how to create a safe, engaging, and enjoyable experience.

Under the current circumstances, we are offering a reduced tuition rate of $750 for the 2020-2021 school year (if paid in full by June 30th).
